Art Captain 2020, Isabelle Anderson-Schmidt, has won a prestigious Commendation Award in the Creative Generation Visual Art Awards for her innovative mixed media installation about climate change entitled “Drowning, Not Waving”. Isabelle is planning to study Art at tertiary level and this award confirms that this is a wise decision. The work is on display in the Art block foyer and will be seen as part of the virtual Splendid Visions Exhibition which will be displayed through digital projection in the Winton Centre next week.
Congratulations Isabelle on this very impressive achievement.
